The Crimson series of RPGs, named after the main villain, were released for the PC-88 and MSX as a trilogy. However, only the third game eventually came to the PC-98, years later. It's a non-overworld map RPG, with random encounters and a character per chapter pacing before all the heroes are finally united. Production values are pretty high, with lots of detailed art, and monsters that collapse into human skeletons (whatever their form...) when killed.

Controls are via the arrow keys, Enter and Space. Start the game up with the opening disk, before you get to the main menu. There, you'll be prompted for the Game disk in 1, and the Scenario Disk in 2 to start the game.
