This RPG has your party of up to three portrayed by… a boxed arrow. Doesn't really impact play any, but it's memorable. Also, oddly, most of the menu options and item names and such are English, despite all the dialogue being Japanese. All the items are a fortune, too, and I see the king can't be bothered to give his princess-finding knight so much as a sword. Controls are with the arrow keys, space and the function keys, and combat is a turn-based affair that you can (theoretically) avoid by talking to encounters. This game was ported to the MSX, but looks notably worse on that platform than the PC-88/PC-98.

RetroBlues has maps, a story outline, and item descriptions and such for this game, although it's all in Japanese.
