Arle returns in a different series than she was originally famous for (Puyo Puyo) in the series of dungeon crawls that were the Madou Monogatari series. This is the second game (and the last) released on the PC-98. It has a very well animated intro scene, followed by character select (you don't have to play Arle, this time) and a animated introduction to the character. Then you're dumped right into the dungeon.

Combat is turn based, without visible stats, so you'll only know how injured you or your opponent are by what they say in combat. The experience display is the highlighted blue nodes on your main interface, which fill as you advance. Dying just removes all your experience.
